Recycling glass is a fantastic step towards sustainability—but when it comes to white (flint) glass, the challenge is even greater. While recycled material could represent up to 60% of packaging, we’re currently only at an average of 15%.
Why? Mainly due to limited availability of high-quality white cullet.
But there’s real momentum.
Our coalition already brings together key players: leading brands in the F&B and spirits sectors, top manufacturers and processors of glass, industry federations, and Citeo. Together, we’ve already made significant progress— key actions plans have been designed, and now we’re moving into operational activation. Our shared goal? To boost the use of recycled white glass, reduce virgin raw material extraction, cut CO₂ emissions, and lower energy consumption.
In short, we’re on a mission to make white glass as green as possible—and we’re doing it at scale.
